....in the near future in the Swiss city of Zurich. Though, the news is not official, the tournament is supposed to be held between January 29th to February 4th of the next year. Anand, Carlsen, Nakamura, Caruana, Aronian and Gelfand will play in this Zurich Chess Challenge.
This would be the first time that the current Chess World Champion Magnus Carlsen of Norway will play with the former champion Vishwanathan Anand of India after their recent game at Chennai. Along with the other great Chess stars namely Hikaru Nakamura of USA, Levon Aronian of Armenia, Boris Gelfand of Israel and Fabiano Caruana of Italy, these two champions will take part in this great event that all the chess lovers are waiting for. The live ratings of these players will be made officially available by the FIDE by the first week of January 2014 and according to this rating, these six chess players have an average of 2800.83 points that is 2801 after rounding off the figure. Therefore, this would be the strongest chess tournament in the history of chess, a category 23 event.
The Zurich Chess Club is the main organizer and Oleg Skvortsov is the main sponsor and is one of the world’s greatest chess lovers and loves this game a lot. He has interacted with many of the famous chess players personally and has also played many games with them.
In the 2014 edition of this great event, there will be a Blitz tournament to determine the colour distribution. There will be a round robin tournament comprising of 5 rounds and a classical time control and after that there will be the rapid tournament and there will be a colour reverse on the end day of the game.
