Why This Course Created?

One of the most important chess skills is to understand which pieces to exchange and which not! To do that you need to understand the situation on the board and know the real value of the pieces. This is why we put our best foot forward to create this chess course "Exchange Pieces like a Pro".

Less experienced players try to swap off pieces of equal value to make the situation easier to archive the draw... However, this is far from true because strong players try to keep only the important pieces on the board. They can read the board differently than you. A strong player can trick you easily with an exchange and after that, your counterplay will be extremely limited.

On the other hand, if you would like to play for a win you need to create an imbalance on the board. You may like to exchange a bishop for a knight or two minor pieces for a rook. In the light of that, mastering the exchange technique can help you win more games. The correct exchanges affect the position and can change the evaluation of the game dramatically.

Sometimes you can isolate an opponent piece, and keep it out of the action. Even if you have equal material on the board you could end up losing or winning thanks to an isolated piece. International Master Asaf Givon explains this idea in detail during the theoretical lessons.

Powerful Practical tasks

It is necessary to be able to apply theoretical knowledge to your games. To do that we prepare the practice which contains 50 illustrative examples. You can test yourself with these positions by applying your knowledge. After that, you'll be able to use your new skills in real chess games with success.
