This is an amazing attacking game, the immortal of the first World Chess Champion

Wilhelm Steinitz vs Curt von Bardeleben "The Battle of Hastings" (game of the day Sep-28-04) Hastings (England) 1895 · Italian Game: Classical Variation. Greco Gambit Traditional Line (C54) Steinitz managed to create an aggressive and active position early on in the game and when the critical moment comes he managed to demolish a really strong attack. The game is very didactic and it can teach you how to attack via the e-line.

The opening played in this game is Italian gambit (ECO: C53), established by the moves 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.c3 Nf6 5.d4 exd4 6.cxd4.

In the diagram position it’s White’s turn. As you can see the White pieces are extremely active but you should act now. Can you find how Wilhelm continue the game?
