The World Chess Federation (FIDE) is still looking for a host city to organize the second world title match between Viswanathan Anand and Magnus Carlsen. The match is scheduled to be held on November 2014, but on the deadline of April 30th, 2014 FIDE had not received any bids.

On Tuesday, that is 6th May 2014, the field for the Norway Chess tournament in June was completed with Anish Giri of the Netherlands. He will play together with Levon Aronian, Magnus Carlsen, Alexander Grischuk, Vladimir Kramnik, Fabiano Caruana,  Veselin Topalov, Sergey Karjakin, Peter Svidler and Simen Agdestein, who qualified by beating Jon Ludvig Hammer in a rapid match.
