Chess Specialist
We are looking for a strong chess player to support the development of our chess courses, lessons, articles, and other educational content.
The role involves working on practical and analytical chess tasks, such as finding relevant games and positions, analyzing positions with chess engines, researching ideas and variations, and helping us create accurate and instructive chess content.
Depending on your skills and experience, the role may also include creating video lessons, writing chess articles, developing training material, or providing chess coaching.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Find instructive games, positions, variations, and examples related to specific chess topics.
- Analyze chess positions using professional chess engines and databases.
- Research openings, middlegame positions, endgames, tactics, and strategic concepts.
- Help develop and improve chess lessons and training materials.
- Contribute to chess articles and educational content.
- Record video lessons or other educational material when required.
- Review existing chess content and suggest improvements where necessary.
- Assist with the development of structured chess courses and training programs.
REQUIREMENTS
- A FIDE rating of 2300+ and/or an FM, IM, or GM title.
- Good knowledge of commonly used chess software, including chess engines and databases.
- Strong analytical and practical chess skills.
- Good understanding of chess theory and the ability to explain chess ideas clearly.
- Familiarity with our free lessons and paid courses is an advantage, but not required.
- Previous experience creating chess lessons or educational content is an advantage, but not required.
