Description
Why Was This Course Created?
After playing many chess games, you will eventually feel the need to learn opening theory. As a chess trainer, I often struggled with choosing the right opening to teach beginner and ambitious players. Some openings require excellent memory, while others demand a strong understanding of positional concepts.
After considering these challenges, I realized that the Scandinavian Defense is an excellent opening to start with.
The ideas behind the Scandinavian Defense do not require advanced strategic understanding or exceptional memory. The basic concept is simple: exchange your d-pawn for White's e-pawn, develop your pieces actively, pin the enemy knights with your bishops, and establish a solid pawn structure with your remaining pawns on e6 and c6.
Even a five-year-old child or a busy adult can learn and successfully use the Scandinavian Defense. All you need is some of your valuable time and a willingness to study. Through my comprehensive, engaging, and instructional videos, you will learn the key ideas and variations of this opening system step by step.
You are also welcome to read my article on the Scandinavian Defense to understand the basic ideas before starting the course.
