Description
Why Was This Course Created?
The opening is over. All of your pieces are developed and active. What should you do next?
Playing without a plan can quickly turn a good position into a difficult one. If you fail to use your advantages, your opponent will have the opportunity to improve their position and equalize. For this reason, learning how to create an effective plan is one of the most important skills to develop in the chess middlegame.
Many chess players struggle to understand how to create a good plan. When playing blitz or other fast games online, it is tempting to focus almost entirely on tactics. Tactics are certainly essential for protecting our pieces and taking advantage of immediate opportunities. However, to maintain a good position, strengthen our advantages, and increase our chances of winning, we also need a clear strategic plan.
This is why we created the course "8 Simple Steps To Make a SUCCESSFUL Plan In Any Situation". Professional chess trainer Angelo Kesaris and GM Spyros Kapnisis will guide you through the key principles and practical methods needed to create effective plans in virtually every type of chess position.
Course Description
To create a successful plan, we first need to understand and accurately evaluate the position. Once we understand what the position requires, we can decide how to respond and what our next objective should be. The ability to create a plan is one of the most valuable skills we can develop in chess. It can significantly improve our middlegame and endgame play and can even help us make better decisions when choosing and preparing chess openings.
This chess course is divided into eight chapters designed to improve the way you think during a game. You will learn about common strategic mistakes, understand why they happen, and discover practical ways to avoid them. By studying these typical situations, you will develop stronger pattern recognition and become better at identifying similar positions in your own games.
After evaluating the position, the next step is to identify targets. Your opponent's weaknesses and strategic problems can provide the foundation for a successful plan. Throughout the course, you will learn how to use all of your pieces effectively, coordinate them around a clear objective, and create pressure against the weaknesses in your opponent's position.
The course is suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. It is designed to build a deeper understanding of chess through instructive lessons and practical examples, including important concepts such as maintaining and exploiting pawn breaks. Almost anyone can memorize and reproduce the opening moves of a game, but identifying and playing strong moves in critical positions is a completely different skill. You will learn what candidate moves are, how to identify them, and how to choose the most promising move in critical moments.
How Will This Course Help Me?
This chess course will give you practical knowledge that you can apply directly to your own games. Angelo Kesaris and GM Spyros Kapnisis will share strategic and practical insights developed through years of chess experience and training.
The course will teach you how to strengthen your positions, improve your pieces, exploit your advantages, and create opportunities to turn the game in your favor. By learning how to look deeper into a position and create a clear plan, you can make better decisions, improve your overall game, and increase your chances of achieving better results and a higher ELO rating.
Finally, you will develop a deeper understanding of one of the most important strategic concepts in chess: prophylaxis. You will learn how to recognize your opponent's ideas and how to prevent them before they become a problem. Throughout the course, you will study numerous games and practical examples from professional players and learn how strong players apply these techniques in real positions.
